Cedar Beach Milford, CT at the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point. I've been coming here for many years. This was the morning after my Mom's memorial at Frank Pepe's. Sunrise was great and then the Egrets arrived, mostly Snowies and some Great. So glad to have some quality time with the sun, sand and some of my favorite creatures.

Snowy & Great Egrets
Cedar Beach Milford, CT at the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point. I've been coming here for many years. This was the morning after my Mom's memorial at Frank Pepe's. Female Spruce Grouse
Moose Bog in Ferdinand is one of only two locations in Vermont where Spruce Grouse can be found. They live only in a boreal forest; the other location being Victory Bog. These woods are thick and getting any light and clean backgrounds in nearly impossible. On the other hand many of the creatures in these woods are unwary of people, the gray jays will land on you if you stay still long enough. So you can get quite close if you are careful. I saw this female and two others along the 1.5 mile path leading to Moose Bog.
